  • Intro

Partake has been commissioned by the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea and by Expo 2015. It has been realized thanks to the support of the Politecnico of Milan.
This website is dedicated to the promotion of the activities realized within the Universal Exposition to raise awareness about sustainability and to face two important challenges of our century: food safety and climate change.
Concerning the Sustainability in Big Events, the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea and Expo 2015 has launched the contest ‘Towards a Sustainable Expo’ addressed to the Participants of Expo 2015. The aim is to promote actions for the reduction of the environmental impact of their activities during the event and to exalt the sustainable initiatives undertaken (through sustainable architecture of Self-Built Pavilions and exhibition areas, sustainability of food offered by catering and food services, and other initiatives such as waste management and carbon offsetting).
With regard to food safety and climate change, you can download on this website the app and the guidelines to find out, in a simple and interactive way, the causes and the effects of the production of carbon dioxide and what to do to reduce them.

Big Events as the Expo are required to be a test-bed for new good practices in the environmental impact reduction. As all of us are required to grasp these practises as legacy for the future.
