Big Events, low impact. In Cascina Triulza.


On September 11th at 6:30 p.m. Cascina Triulza in Expo will host a meeting on sustainability in Big Events entitled ‘Events and sustainability: a comparison of experiences “, organised by Region Council of Umbria and ‘Sviluppumbria’ – Regional Development Agency for Economic Promotion.

During the seminar there will be a comparison among the main European and international case studies on sustainability and events, starting from what Umbria has achieved in this field. Because the Green Heart of Italy remains green even when it hosts Big Events.

The aim is to build a catalog of best practices to be spread among local administrators and event organisers to reduce the carbon footprint of conventions, concerts, festivals etc…

The program of the event includes the following invited speakers:
Andy Fryers, Direcor for Sustainability of Hay Festival of Literature, UK; Andres Coca-Stefaniak, Senior Lecturer in Events Management, University of Greenwich, UK; Maria Cristina Sampaio Lopes, Presidency of the Federal Repubblic of Brazil; Eugenio Guarducci, President Eurochocolate, Italia; Gloria Zavatta, Sustainability Manager of Expo 2015, Italia: Mauro Agostini, General Director of Sviluppumbria and Fabio Paparelli, Vice President of Regional Council of Umbria.

A cocktail hour will follow on the Roof Terrace of the Cacao and Chocolate Cluster-
