Expo presented the data that proves the success of the recycling system in the Exposition Site. During the weeks immediately after the inauguration of the event on May 1, the level of recycling had already exceeded the 60% mark. Since the last week in July Expo have separated 70% of the waste produced each day, enabling the materials to be recycled and the areas cleaned effectively.
This success is achieved thanks to CONAI, AMSA and Milan Municipality. The commitment of the 150 operators engaged in the daily activities, the quality of the technologies and the reliable organization enabled the efficiency of the recycling system to improve day by day. The staff were well trained in a timely in order to work efficiently.
