Presentation of the Towards a Sustainable Expo Programme
On the 5th of June, on the occasion of the World Environment Day at the Media Center of the Expo it has been introduced Towards to Sustainable Expo, in the presence of Gian Luca Galletti, Italian Minister for the Environment, Land and Sea, and of Achim Steiner, the Executive Manager of UNEP .
Towards a Sustainable Expo Programme, conceived by the Minister for the Environment and Expo 2015 Spa, consists in a contest created to draw the attention on the sustainability, among all the Participants to Expo Milano 2015, and to value the initiatives that will contribute to make this edition of the Universal Exposition a more sustainable event.
The contest will reward the commitment to reduce a far as possible their environmental impact.
